Jinksy
Going to be playing this system for the first time tomorrow, which will be entertaining, and probably lead to several more posts in this thread. Meanwhile, Q1 (which is based on the recklessly optimistic assumption that there's a standard basic Fantunes and it's the one I'm playing - unfortunately, I don't know the origin of the card I was given to learn from...): What do you bid with a 14-17 count, 5C and 4D (or 6C and 5D) after an uninterrupted 1C 1D sequence? Is this where you're supposed to have opened 1D?
semeai
You bid 2♣, showing 14-17 with 6+C or 4D-5C, according to http://www.bridgewithdan.com/systems/Fantoni_Nunes.txt
Free
They always open their longest suit and if necessary rebid 5 card suits, no problem in their opinion. So 1♣-1♦(4+♥ 0-9HCP)-2♣ shows 5+♣ and denies 4♥ support and 4♠ (and less than 18HCP). They can even have a 1=3=4=5 (mortals like us would prefer to raise ♥). With 5♦-6♣ they'll also rebid their ♣ unless they think their hand is worth 18+HCP. 1♦-1M-2♣ shows 5+♦ and 4+♣ with less than 18HCP (otherwise bid 1NT gazzilli-style). 1♦-1NT-2♣ is similar, with 18+HCP they know they have fit so they're willing to play at 3-level in this case (2♥ and 2♠ are artificial).
