There's a related thread around here, except it was 1♣ - pass - 1♠ - 2♠;? As I recall, dbl here shows a good hand with 2-3 spades. In the OP's auction, dbl is support. If we used support doubles I guess it would be one, in the given auction; but would wish it weren't at this vul with one or two fewer hearts and this club holding. Anyway, on to the 2H bandwagon. I think it's good for IMP to play double as penalty oriented, because those times when you are able to penalize opps, it can be really juicy to compensate the difficulty to tell the difference between 3 card and 4 card raises.
