Speaking of Multi

I saw a lot of multi topics lately, and as i said in another topic that in past i've played multi for very long years. One thing stroke me the most was, even at some very high level pdships, when me or my pd opened multi, i saw some very good opponents having trouble to give us the explenation of this 2 bid, simply they were not sure.

(2)-2-(pass)-2

2= weak 2 in a major or strong balanced hand.

2=Natural overcall

In this context, what does 2 mean to you ?

A- I have suit and one of us is bidding their suit. (If thats how u play then how do you cue ? 3? 2 NT ? Cheapest minor ?)

B- I have support and cuebidding.

Also, is this auction any different than (2)-2-(pass)-3 ? if so explain why please.

Also, I learned this from Clee:

1D*-2D**-p-3C

1D precision (could be doubleton, or perhaps shorter), 2D natural, 3C=good raise of D

and similarly

1D*-2C-p-2D good raise of C (well, maybe it would be better to play this as stayman)

Yes. This is your option (B).

Although I don't think 2D 2H P 2S promises heart support: what do you bid on a 3244 15-count with no spade stop?

You could decide to bid 3C with this hand to gain the clear inv+ raise.
