Best line in 4 hearts

Well, I thought of ruffing a spade in hand but it doesn't look worth the hassle (unless it's MP's?). I'll just take out their trumps and play a club to the 10; If I lose to the Queen I suppose a spade will come back, so I'll win and play a club to the Jack. I suppose I'll take the diamond finesse unless the 9 has appeared already. If the club 10 loses the Ace I'll need to know how hearts broke, if it wins I'm not sure what to do next.

I think I will start with 2 top trump from hand. If the suit breaks 3-2, I'll leave the last trump outstanding and play a low club towards the J.

There are various scenarios that arise, but I can handle virtually all of them...I only fail if the diamond K is offside and clubs are vicious. I don't care about them ruffing a club, when the suit is 4-2, since they can't do it without giving me 1 club trick, and allowing me a spade ruff in hand....so I'd get 5 trump, 3 spades including the ruff) and a trick in each minor.

Of course, when clubs are AQ(x)(x) onside, this won't be a good mp score B-)

If trump are 4-1, I don't think I want to leave the trump outstanding. I will pull all of them, pitching a diamond, and then lead a club.....if rho had the 4 trump, I lead low to the 10...if LHO had the long trump, I lead the J. Either club choice can be problematic. If clubs don't pan out, I will eventually fall back on the diamond hook unless something interesting arises.

Mike this hand is weird, i tried that as well as other combinations of cashing 2 trump. This line fails when 3-2 (East holding 3, Qx and K is off). After taking J with Q he plays (even a continuation can defeat) Lets say E had KT9xx xxx Txx Qx

I tried to find a way virtually handles all deals but i could not come up with one, other lines for the best % play seemed to me too close to each other i cld not figure which one is best.

Tried A and small to dummy playing and covering vs finesse OR playing variations

Tried small to dummy first and or

Tried A, A, to dummy, ruff a and play

etc etc

I could not find a % 100 way to make it.

EDIT: i just saw u already mentioned when K is off and s are vicious, if that was what u meant.

What if play Q at the first tric and win it?

Then from dummy to the 10 (W may have the Q and return another spade or a trump, no matter).

Then play to dummy, ruff the last spade and take the last trump, living out a trump.

Then to the jack and cover the if E returns .(If E returns play the 9).

Unfortunately, lose if E started with Ax and xxx trump.(he may ruff a return).

Mbodell asks "Trick 1: 2, 4, 9, J What now? (Opponents playing 3/5 leads and standard attitude/count)"

IMO J, A, K. If RHO wins and leads a then you finesse.[/hv]

OP said u already played first trick, and even if u could play Q it would probably be covered by K.

It was a pretty nasty hand layout. I tried "Tried ♥ A, ♠A, ♥ to dummy, ruff a ♠ and play ♣" as considered and dismissed from MrAce. It is possible that mikeh line will work if LHO pitches wrong on trumps, but double dummy all of these lines go down on this layout (you need diamond A, duck a diamond double dummy). I don't think that is the "right" line single dummy, but I wasn't sure what was.

Here was the full layout:

The hand looks unmakable even double dummy
