wclass___
This is not really about crossruff, but about setting up a club or heart trick. Start with T2 ♥AT3 ♦J-x-x-xT4 ♣AT5 ♣ ruffT6 ♠ ruff and watch what LHO plays on this turn.
Phil
This looks a lot more involved than a 'crossruff'. Going to get some coffee and noodle this.

I chose the title somewhat loosely rather than saying 'cross ruff/suit establishment'. BTW, depending on whether or not LHO covers the ♦J, there may be variations which are closer to a pure cross-ruff than suit establishment. At T6, LHO follows with the ♠J.
Phil
Some preliminary themes that should be considered are: - crossruff- suit establishment / partial trump drawing- knockout squeeze (thats why I need my coffee)!

Well, it doesn't really matter what he discards, if he has ♦Qxx you will be able to pull it home anyway. This time you just ruff ♣, if they are 4-3 you establish ♣ trick, if they are not 4-3, then you can establish ♥ (they are 3-3) or just ruff all of your ♣ in hand.

Phil
well d'uh, it was the end of his post... :P No KO squeeze I can see. I really do want to dig into this one, but there's too many permutations early on. I'll start ♥K, ♣A, ♣ruff, ♠ruff, ♣ ruff. Does RHO follow? But I am curious, why did you choose ♦J from your hand, which will require you to pull one more trump when LHO does not cover, rather than a ♦ to dummy's T ?
wclass___
Yes, your line will work. But I am curious, why did you choose ♦J from your hand, which will require you to pull one more trump when LHO does not cover, rather than a ♦ to dummy's T ? Other spot cards in dummy are weak and i am going to ruff some ♣ in hand. Here is one obvious situation:[hv=pc=n&s=s9h42dk9c&w=shqt9dq8c&n=sh3datcjt&e=sa432hdcq]399|300[/hv]you want to ruff ♣ high and finesse ♦Q.
