shevek
Probably been asked before ... I'd like to put neatly formatted hands in a bridge blog, so I need something like hand editor, which is great. Is there a simple way for me to use BBO Hand Editor, or is there a legal issue? Can it be licensed? If that's not possible, are there other editors available that would do the job? Thanks in advance.

mtvesuvius
You can use the BBO handviewer, and embed the Handviewer into your blog... Here is the document on how to do so, as well as edit other things on Handviewer:http://www.bridgebase.com/tools/hvdoc.html Embedding the Handviewer program in a web page For most web publishing purposes, it will make sense to embed the Handviewer application within a web page. The easiest way to do this is by using an iframe. The HTML for doing so should look something like this:<iframe src="http://www.bridgebase.com/tools/handviewer.html?s=sakqhakqdakqcakqj&d=w&a=3hpp" height="350px" width="200px"/>which will produce something like this [.....] Web publishers can specify the amount of space that a given instance of the Handviewer will occupy by setting the height and width of the iframe (350 pixels and 200 pixels respectively in the above example). The Handviewer program will resize itself so that it will fit in the space that you provide for it.Individual web pages can contain multiple iframes, each using an instance of the Handviewer program. shevek
Thanks. However, I'm hoping to set up a BBO type forum where people could use something like Hand Editor to post hands. Some clubs have a similar facility on their web page. Such as (if it works)... http://www.australianbridge.com/grandslam/forum.php?sess=GS100905-1&board=2 where you simply click on a hand. Would be good if outsiders could key hands and auctions. hotShot
I haven't tried it but http://www.rpbridge.net/rpdw.htm seems useful.
Rain
Hi Shevek :) For a legit use like this, Fred's okay with letting you use hand editor in your forum. But it's not as straightforward as giving you the code, and we don't have the time right now to help you. Can you email Fred in mid August to ask?
