mtvesuvius
3C looks reasonable. But if you had the ♣9 it would be perfect :)
jmcw
I'm bidding 2♣, stay low and await developments. Partner's response is expected but does not improve my hand.
olien
3♣ seems obvious...If either of my aces were in ♦, I might choose to GF, but my ♦ are horrible. So, I won't think about slam unless partner makes a strong move over 3♣ or if he can bid 3♦ I will begin to get a bit more excited.

whereagles
This hand feels fishy to me. The blocked aces spell trouble and the major suit shortage is a bad omen. I'm therefore going to make the slight underbid of 2♣.
han
Can somebody explain why this hand spells trouble? Don't we have a great club suit, enough entries, very few losers, 8 tricks, etc? I really don't see anything negative.
Free
3♣, we have a good hand and a good suit.

Phil
3♣. I don't see the 'problems' here either.

I really don't see anything negative. Well: bad controls in the long suits, bad placement of the aces, 5♣ game a long way, likelyhood of pard having major suit length. Anyway, I don't know... it's just a feeling and I usually follow my instincts. I think if you bid 3♣ there are many unsuitable hands with which pard will be driving to what rates to be a hopeless game.
