You know your RHO and suspect 3C could be "very unconstructive" and could be 6-card suit. You have no agreements with pardner re non leaping michaels. What bid do you choose? P_Marlowe
Hi, X. Lets see, what p does, most likely I will bid 4C the next round. With kind regardsMarlowe
semeai
Ideally I wouldn't have to double with a void, but here I think it's the best option. I plan on bidding 4♥ at my next turn. This should show a flexible hand worth 4♥, whereas a direct 4♥ bid would show a single-suited hand worth 4♥.
whereagles
Without leaping michaels, I would just overcall 4♥. Good luck me.

But I definitely agree that X then 4H is a much better plan.
WellSpyder
Hmmm, double and then 4♣ says one. Double and then 4♥ says another. I hope we don't have to revisit the thread on the meaning of an insufficient bid when partner responds 4♠ to the double. (And no, before anyone asks, I don't have an ideal answer to the problem either...)
VM1973
I would bid 3♥ expecting to hear 4♣ on my left. I would be very surprised to hear it go 3♥-P-P-P Since I have two suits, I plan on showing both of them.

(And no, before anyone asks, I don't have an ideal answer to the problem either...) You got me there! I might also not just bid 4H over 3H or 3D. More seriously: I'm somewhat worried about partner passing. I'm not at all worried about 4S from partner. If, lacking ♠J ♥AKQ ♦AKQ and whatever club honors RHO has, partner can still muster a 4S bid, we're certainly not in trouble. What precisely my next move is is more interesting to ask, but mostly because I have multiple good options.
JLOGIC
Before leaping michaels, I assume 4C showed any 2 suits since otherwise diamonds + a major that cannot double is unbiddable. Is this false? With this hand I would feel comfortable doubling, if it goes all pass probably some of my aces and kings are cashing, and it will helpt us a lot with strain and level decisions. All other alternatives seem so ridiculous.
