rogerclee
Agree with 4H, which shows a very big hand, often with 4 spades. We have a very big hand which we have shown. I would now pass, having shown my very big hand.
Hanoi5
I'll try 5♠. Can partner double 1♠ on KQxx and nothing more? Hopefully not. I usually go too far though.
whereagles
I'm itching to bid, but I really don't have extras... neither in hcp nor shape. Pass. Note that if pard has only 4 spades, the 5 level isn't totally safe.
dake50
Partner negX. RHO a 1H overcall. LHO a preempt H-raise.My tenaces are perfecto. 5S.
TWO4BRIDGE
5S can't be right here.It asks for a Ht-Ctrl... not trump quality. I'd go ahead and bid 4NT-RKC ( 03 14 ) ...( even with the Ht-void ).If 5C reply , then 5D! = sQ-ask... and you can stop in 5S if you don't hear anything you like.... With a positive answer, you will be in 6S. If 5D reply ( 1 key card, most likely the sK, but it could be the hA )....Again, make a sQ-ask.... and same as above. pooltuna
Partner negX. RHO a 1H overcall. LHO a preempt H-raise.My tenaces are perfecto. 5S. Deceptive looking bidding...It was actually the LHO that made the 1♥ overcall ...still think your tenaces are well placed?
rduran1216
My thinking at the table is, am I safe enough at the 5 level to look for a good holding from partner, either by bidding KC to see if partner holds KQxx of spades, or 5C to allow partner to know I've got the nuts (which im not sure we have) Partner's hand is Kxxx10xxQ10xxKx
lamford
Pass. I showed a good hand.
phil_20686
while 4H does show a good hand, its naieve to imagine that partner will find it easy to ask with an aceless hand. Still the 5 level might not be safe but we do have some protection. I think partner should find a move himself when slam is good, but i thinkt he equity of moving is probably close to zero. I would probably have another try if I was behind in a TM.
OleBerg
Pass. Partner will often move when right. The actual hand is quite illustrative. Partner has an extremely well-fitting extreme max for 4♠, and 6♠ might go down. (Of course 6♠ is the spot to be, but not a disaster to miss it.) hrothgar
[hv=pc=n&n=sajt4hdakj6caj852&d=n&v=n&b=5&a=1c1hd3h4hp4sp]133|200[/hv] MP, vanilla 2/1 context. Agree with 4H? pass now or bid on? Not only do I have a monster hand, the opponents have lots of wasted values in Hearts. We're now playing with a 30 point deck and I have 18 of them by my lonesome... My primary concern is sorting out strain.Tempted to punt 5N
han
I see people bid 5S or 5NT, wow 5NT! If you want to make another try, isn't 5H clearly the best description? I would pass, but it's possible that we miss a good slam.
