inquiry
Wow 26 hcp, 8 quick tricks, 10 of the 12 controls (missing two kings). What a hand. [hv=d=n&v=a&n=sqt8hq965d843c982&s=sa54hadakq2cakq74]133|200|Scoring: IMPWest North East South - Pass Pass 2♣ Pass 2♦ Pass 3♣ Pass 3NT Pass 4♦ Pass 5♣ Pass 6♣ Pass Pass Pass [/hv] Since you are holding one of the best hands you have ever held, is it surprizing you bid to slam. (Over)bidding to slam is was the easy part. Plan your play. I will start you off, if clubs are 4-1 or 5-0 you will not make, so assume clubs are split 3-2. (hehehe) Opening lead no-descript heart. blover
I think no matter what lead you got, the play is basically the same.Your chance relies on ♦3-3 or same opponent holding 4♦ and 3♣, at last you still need to guess ♠ right.♣AK, ♦AKQ, ruff 4th♦ if not 3-3, return to hand, clear last trump, and guess ♠.
