ArtK78
This hand came up in a 28 board team match last night. I made 3NT on a defensive error, but I believe the hand can always be made after the opening lead. I would appreciate your thoughts. Here is the hand: [hv=pc=n&s=sakt5haq52dq72cj6&w=sj7432h9743dk6ct7&n=sq86hk6dj953ck952&e=s9hjt8dat84caq843&d=e&v=0&b=14&a=1d1np3nppp]399|300[/hv] Trick 1: ♠3, 6, 9, 10Trick 2: ♠A, 2, 8, ♣3Trick 3: ♠5, 4, Q, ♣4 [this is not the error that I was referring to above, but it was clearly not the best play available]Trick 4: ♣2, Q, 6, 7Trick 5: ♥J, Q, 3, 6Trick 6: ♣J, 10, K, ATrick 7: ♥10, 2, 4, K Take it from here with the lead in the North hand.
