Chris2794
Hi, I've got 2 problems: Giving me the message "are you sure that you are connected to the Internet" I cannot use the windows client for going online. I'm sure I am connected to the Internet and all the other stuff relying on the Internet works quite well.My second problem refers to the browser version of BBO. I'm getting logged of about every 10 minutes for no reason (Internet still works well ;-)). Could you please help me? I'm addicted to bridge :)! Thank you in advanceChristian Leroy
helene_t
the first problem is probably caused by your firewall preventing you for talking to the port that bbo uses (9999). Try changing it to 80 in bbover.ini. Alternatively, if you are in charge of the firewall, you may open up port 9999. The second problem sometimes occurs to me also, I think it is related to being behind an http proxy and/or slow connection. In any case there is not much you can do about that other than getting a better internet connection.
diana_eva
For downloadable version: 1. click the START button on lower left2. click RUN3. type in the next line and press the Enter keynotepad c:\Bridge Base Online\bbover.ini4. replace bbo.bridgebase.com with v1proxy01.bridgebase.com5. replace 9999 with 806. click FILE/SAVELaunch BBO again. For the web version: 1. clear browser's cache memory:http://www.wikihow.c...owser%27s-Cache 2. Try to connect via this link (change port to 80):http://www.bridgebase.com/client/client.php?port=80 3. if it doesn't make much difference, try another browser Edited June 15, 2011 by diana_eva
Chris2794
Thank you for your fast responses! I've changed the port to 80 but it still doesn't work, whereas clearing the cache memory brought home the bacon ;)Anything else I can do? Chris2794
Okey :D Then I'll just use the browser-version. Thanks for your help! ♥
diana_eva
Okey :D Then I'll just use the browser-version. Thanks for your help! ♥ So you meant the older version still does not work after applying steps 1 through 6 listed at the beginning? Email support@bridgebase.com if you continue to experience problems, and tell them what you tried and what happened.
