Antrax
It's an acronym for "fixed your post", usually it's used to a humorous effect by replacing a small part of the quoted text to greatly exaggerate or completely void it of the original meaning (and thus expressing strong agreement or disagreement), on these forums it's used in a broader sense. And thanks again everyone. gwnn
When partner opens 1m in standard bidding, he has a weak no trump hand (i.e. 12-14 balanced) a LOT of the time. It makes sense to ask yourself "where would I want to be opposite a weak no trump?", especially in competition. Imagine random balanced 12-14 counts and you'll see that 1NT will be a great contract usually.
matmat
LMGTFY http://tinyurl.com/kkjp7w heh. I always thought it stood for something else, with a very similar meaning in context.
nigel_k
If playing strong NT and inverted raises I agree there is a decent case for 1NT but it still feels really bad with support for partner's suit and nothing in the majors. I would be tempted to overbid slightly with 2♦ inverted.
