Team match, opponents are very good players, as well as pd.

Is this an oportunity to write a speeding ticket or not ?

Thanks for the answers :)

I see 2 case, north 3D is a COG/responsive X kind of 3D wich mean that south should be 1426 and a slight chance of a 1336 ? (any hand with 2S should bid 3S and not 4C) and north 6322 or 6331 and they are in deep *****. Even if partner S are lousy over 4S partner going to lead H and ill be able to give him a ruff. Its possible 4S/5C x is only -200 while 4H is down 3/4 but there is no way im not Xing here.

The 2nd case is north has a slam try without a D control, something like 6421 where he has no good bid. (for me 4C is showing H fit but maybe its unclear for them).

Anyway im Xing unless i have huge lead in the match.

PASS hearts are probably 544 and what seems like a decent

chance at heart tricks could end up with close to none

(especially if we warn opps of poor trump break).

I feel N bid of 3d (followed by 4h) was a mild slam try that

has been turned down by S. The X here will be lucky to get 500

more likely get 200 and take a risk of giving opps 790 vs -100

we might get if opps play for a normal trump break.

X here just not worth the risk at IMPS --- at MP I would X and

not be shocked if this turned out to be a 50% action in the long

run (netting 7 good boards and 3 really bad ones)

It depends a bit on our style of overcalling, can partner have KQJxxx diamonds and nothing else?

I would have thought they might be in a 4-3 fit here - responder is, say, 1435 and opener 6313 with a good hand.

If they run to spades, we should get a heart ruff.

I voted for double, although at the table I usually pass on these hands. I'm trying to find out if I'm wrong about that.

I pass vs "good opponents" then again I rarely play vs people who I consider being "good". Once that happen though I would for sure pass as if they are not insane they are not going for 500 there and my double can help them making this or run to some better contract.
