Vampyr
Why are the only choices for discussion of bidding SAYC and 2/1, and non-natural systems? I can understand the importance of SAYC and 2/1 since they are widely used on BBO, but I think there should be a place where other natural systems (and bidding problems therein) can be discussed. Also... the recent discussions on Puppet Stayman -- they are neither part of non-natural systems (though of course they can be) nor limited to SAYC and 2/1 -- so it seems like that sort of thing needs a home too. Bbradley62
While is might be better to have a forum called "Bidding Conventions" or some such, there is:General Bridge DiscussionThe main board - talk about bridge, systems, conventions, upcoming events, and more here! P_Marlowe
The forum is hugely dominated by players (*) that are coming from North America or are influenced by the North American Bidding Philospohy.SAYC and 2/1 are systems, that are dominat in North America (and SAYC is THE system on BBO, whatever one understands under the acronym SAYC). If you ask a bidding question, you can always add the base system, so that this can be taken into account, when the peoble try to answer your question. If you dont do this, most will assume the default system - that happens to be SAYC or 2/1, even in cases, the question was not raised in the SAYC or 2/1 section of the forum. Renaming the SAYC or 2/1 section to "Natural Systems" or introducing a new section would not change anything,if no system is explicitly mentioned, the default gets assumes, in all sections. With kind regardsMarlowe (*) This is declining to a certain degree.
