dickiegera
Partner is on lead in a NT contract. He leads K. It is our agreement that KING asks for attitude. From J104 does partner play the J?This has always been my understanding. In a group discussion there was disagreement. Opinions

Now if partner has AKQx he can lead the x to our T and we take 4 tricks. If partner has something like AKxxx and was looking for the Q (rather than leading 4th best or attitude), the J will show the T but deny the Q and partner can figure out what to do. whereagles
I don't know the convention whereby K asks for attitude, but the usual card to play on a K lead when holding JT is the jack, showing the ten and inviting pard to follow up with a low card. Note that pard usually has the 9 to lead the K from KQ. Otherwise he just leads low.
mike777
For starters it is pretty unusual to have JTx and pard leads K at nt. I expect pard to have 3 honors for this lead. I grant usually you give attitude but here you really need to listen to the bidding and look at dummy cards. 1) attitude often but2) count may be more important here3) with other rare holdings suit pref may be best. Here I play J and again I expect pard to have 3 honours.

Vampyr
normally as i understand it A or Q=attitude k for count This is completely irrelevant, because the OP is playing something else.
mtvesuvius
Yes, I think the Jack is the right play. I don't really see any reason to complicate this situation. Also, Lurpoa is back with meaningless upvotes this time! Exciting!
