If you bid 2NT (Lebensohl, your way if you'd like): Partner will bid 3NT, what then? Full hand, propose an auction if you'd like, but please respond to the first question before looking and proposing an auction :) [hv=pc=n&s=sq2hj832dcakj9874&w=sj85h9754dat7532c&n=skthakq6dkq84cq32&e=sa97643htdj96ct65&d=w&v=e&b=16&a=2d(weak)dp3d(stayman)p3hp4hp4s(RKC%20for%20%21h)p5s(odd%20KC%20with%20void)p6hppdppp]600|450[/hv]

Hanoi5
I agree with 3♦, but, is 4♥ forcing?

hrothgar
I'm void in Diamonds, partner doubled, and RHO couldn't find a raise?I'm guessing that partner has a balanced hand that is too strong for 2NT. As boring as it might sound, I'm going to bid a prosaic 6♣Might miss a grand, but such is life BTW, given the vulnerability I actually consider pass reasonable... whereagles
When pard dbls, we have a void and RHO passes, it's likely pard has some sort of strong NT hand, probably above the usual 15-18 range, which would bid 2NT over 2♦. I'll bid 4♣ now.

kayin801
With regards to the full hand: Obviously with the listed hands 4♣ sets you on the right path, and considering the immense disparities in suit length and strength it certainly gives the best picture of your hand. Suppose that the auction goes (as if opener's majors were reversed):(2♦)-X-(P)-3♦(P)-3♠-(P)-? Is 4♣ now better off as a cue confirming spades, or a second suit? gwnn
I think 4♣ (as a response to a takeout double) is forcing but 3♦ then 4♣ is still just clubs. We can't just make all these minor suit bids cuebids, we need them.

That was my first thought too :) The advantage is that if partner lacks a ♠ control, you might still make.
