Partner is asking about Q, I'd respond 5NT since it's the only posive response I can make below 6.

If he wanted to blacky for , then he should've bid 4NT immediately. If he was a decent player, he wouldn't bid 4NT that fast.

Partner never supported so I'll take it he's asking for the Q. (As Free said partner should have forced or bid some other way if he wanted to play hearts). Anyway the way I bid now depends on agreement:

1. If the next available bid denies the queen and any other shows it with a specific king (with 5NT usually showing the queen with no outside king), I'd bid 6.

2. If returning to the trump suit denies the queen and any other shows the queen with specific kings I'd bid 5NT.

It's a matter of agreement, I guess.

Seems like partner has declared a club fit and all the keycards, I'd just bid 7 now.

If you have a firm agreement that a second ask guarantees all of the key cards, then 7 is clear.

I have that agreement, but not everyone does. If you don't have that agreement, all you can do is answer the question. I don't know what your methods would be to show the K and the trump Q, or even if you can do so. But that is what I want to do.

One problem with not having a firm agreement about guaranteeing all of the key cards with the second ask is that partner may now go into a long tank and emerge with 6. Now you know that you should bid 7 but try explaining that to a committee.

Agree that, if pard is bidding properly, the 5 bid is a queen ask and that 7 is pretty obvious now.

The only bad thing that can happen is pard coming up with something like AQxx Axx Ax Kxxx, but that's unlikely. AQxx Ax Axx Kxxx is more probable.
