A slam in competition

How should we continue bidding on this board?

We play SAYC-like system, RKCB 0314 (if needed). 3 bid shows better than minimum hand (we bid minimum competitive hand via Good-Bad 2NT).

Please help, which bid by South is the best to investigate slam?

Even if you take away the spade and diamond aces, slam is on a finesse. So I would probably bid 5D as south, he can hardly have a better hand than this.

South can't KC with a void in diamonds, s/he can either bid 5, 6 or 6 the choice between the last two might depend on whether you're playing MP's or IMP's.

The real fear here is missing the grand when partner has the A and AKQ, which must be a reasonable possibility, although tempered by distribution catching your tail?

The problem for me would be what partner believed 5 to represent, voidwood for ? I would bid 4NT expecting to take a chance over 5. Over 5 / I would bid 5, expecting partner to bid 6 with 2/3 of the top honours, 6 with the AKQ, highlighting the lack of honours.

Out of interest, would you prefer the insurance of 7 over 7?
