BunnyGo
This occurred during #3709 ACBL Robot Duplicate (Matchpoints). Board 12. The auction began on my left: 2H (described as weak 2)-P-P-Dbl (described as 12+ tolerance for other suits) P-2N (not described at all)-P-?? At this point I didn't know if 2NT was natural or Lebensohl. I was able to resolve the issue because when I hovered over 3 Clubs it was described as "transfer completed". Is it possible to add a description to 2NT?
menggq
2H P P XP 2N P ? 1.2N=LEB so bid 3♣.2.If pd has good ♥ why not pass for penalty? or bid 3N when u RED opps WHITE.3.PD didnt bid ♠ might mean no ♠4+cards,pd sd hv one minor suit probably and not a INV hand, that's why bid 2N=LEB otherwise just bid it directly. barmar
I've always seen the Lebensohl description of the 2NT. But maybe that's only when the double is in direct seat, not balancing.

This wasn't exactly my question. The issue was that 2NT was not described in the auction (unlike the rest of the bids). Playing with GIB it usually goes out of its way to describe the bids. Thank you for your thoughts, though. I've always seen the Lebensohl description of the 2NT. But maybe that's only when the double is in direct seat, not balancing. Yes, I agree. I was surprised that there was no description here, and wanted to bring it to people's attention.
