whereagles
Nice! Who's playing there? I guess Justin and maybe Mike Hargreeves, though he's been absent lately. Anyone else?
Hanoi5
Roger Lee, who is battling against the Nickell team and I think doing a good job so far.
cherdano
Uday and Jdonn are also playing, and Fred obviously.

Phil
Hargreaves is Canadian. Is Jdonn really playing? That leaves JLall, Clee, Uday and Fred.
qwery_hi
Rosenberg, Jonathan Weinstein and Baseggio are also members, although I don't think they're very active.

aguahombre
oops...forget whatever I posted here....it is 120 boards, not 60. Get back those two Imps in the second half, Uday and Roger. And keep up the good work, Josh. Edited May 11, 2011 by aguahombre

Fluffy
How to make 4 tricks with AJx opposite Q98x with no entries, now, that's something I am sure I wouldn't had been able to do.
Hanoi5
Why aren't the same hands being played in all the matches?
RMB1
Why aren't the same hands being played in all the matches? Apparently it a "USA thing". It seems kinda odd (quaint) to Europeans.

bluecalm
Looking forward to seeing clee in the 2nd round Yeah. For now it seems Nickell had a lot of luck to keep it even. My impression from yesterday was that Ivatury team played better bridge. Keep it up!
paulg
Why aren't the same hands being played in all the matches? Apparently it a "USA thing". It seems kinda odd (quaint) to Europeans. It is very popular in the USA, not just for trials but also in the Vanderbilt, Spingold and in many Swiss events. I expect security is the principal reason. Nowadays most events run on a pre-determined schedule but in the past I believe the captains could agree their own schedule and meal breaks. In such circumstances boards could be played at different times. On a practical note, anything you hear from an adjacent table is irrelevant. We've have many boards thrown out at Brighton and other congresses because someone at the next table has been talking loudly about a hand. Certainly in head to head matches I see no reason for the same boards to be played. In a Swiss event, there is a far stronger case for playing the same hands.
Phil
Yes jdonn is really playing. I stand corrected.

The reason are spectators who love comparisons, butlers, analysis how different players solve same problems etc.
aguahombre
For specs (here on BBO), the flip side is getting more hands to spec. Later on, say the semi's, security is easier to handle.
MickyB
I was about to look for the butlers earlier, then I remembered this thread.
han
Certainly in head to head matches I see no reason for the same boards to be played. I see a reason: it is interesting to see what different pairs do holding the same hands.
