To the first time there was no Cavendish thread in forums this year. Surely this has absolutely nothing to say, but I would like to ask generally...Do you mean too that this tournament has became slowly but constantly less important in international bridge calendar, among players, sponsors, public interesting? If yes, why it is happened, what are the reasons? or am I completely wrong in this question?

Well, I enjoyed watching every session of both the team and pair events; and there were many interesting situations.

 

The auction was down (economy?), but it was the bridge which attracted me.

 

Also, Stewart and Woolsey were steady throughout ---their worst session was plus 200. Every one of the high finishers had some gifts along the way. People might remember the gift Fred and Kit received on the final set where the opps played in a cuebid. But, certainly Levin and Weinstein will notice a couple places where they could have done better on the final day.
