dae Posted May 1, 2011 Report Share Posted May 1, 2011 My friend ,who just tried BBO today, tells me that her screen is tall and narrow, and she can't see the information at the bottom, to chat,etc. and the cards are very tiny-hard to see. What could be the problem? Hi Dorthy. We have two ways one can play bridge on BBO. One is with the Flash client. The size of the playing areas can be adjusted by pointing the mouse at the two "bars" at the edges of the varioius pains and click and drag them bigger or smaller. If the playing area is made wider, the cards will look better. One option is to display the cards as TEXT ratehr than the picture of the cards. You use this version (the one where you click the yellow play bridge link on BBO home page). The other way you can play is with the windows client. Here the size of the p[laying area is fixed, but you can "toggle" it with control-W at the same time between an wide mode and normal mode. You can stretch it from top to bottom only by pressing he windows maximize button, but this has no effect on card size, and all it does is increase the size of the text area. If your friend has a tall narrow view, he/she must be using flash. The instructions above should help, but if not, have here speak to any yellow host on line when she next logs in. they should be able to help....
