Fluffy
pass non forcing, I double at MPs, but might pass at IMPs.
jdeegan
6♣Forcing schmorcing. I think we can beat 6♠ or ♥ and how can they not take the push? Our best is probably 11 tricks, but so what?
dake50
Partner announced an offensive hand over 4S by 5C.He cannot guess 0=3=3=7. Hope he has CA or HA with his 3+C.
OleBerg
I find 6♣ relatively obvious. - It might make.- They might take the push.- It might be a good save; -2 is not likely to happen very often.
han
I would double, and see if partner will double 5S. If not I bid 6C.
whereagles
Seems like they can't make 5♠ and we sure can't make 6♣. Looks like pass now and pass later.
cherdano
I would double, and see if partner will double 5S. If not I bid 6C.Remind me to pass against you in this situation as responder!
Hanoi5
I think I'd pass but I guess it's clearer at imp's. It's not forcing, I just intervened and partner sort-of preempted, I think.
nige1
I would double, and see if partner will double 5S. If not I bid 6C. I like Han's double, suggesting a heart lead. But I'm not sure about bidding 6♣.
Finch
I like Han's double, suggesting a heart lead. But I'm not sure about bidding 6♣. A heart lead against what contract?
nige1
A heart lead against what contract? Oh :( Frances points out that I'm on lead :(
kenrexford
Oh :( Frances points out that I'm on lead :( Yeah, but if you don't double for the lead, how will you know what to do?

kenrexford
:) :) :) This reminds me of a signalling method some friends of mine call "Batchelder Signals." On a particular hand, years ago, a certain gentleman (who shall remain nameless  ) gave a positive signal for let's say diamonds. The defense went such-and-such poorly, and in the end the partner asked why the positive attitude in diamonds. The response was that the positive attitude signal was because he wanted his partner to cash the King in that suit. The partner of course responded that this was ridiculous, as he did not need a signal to let him know what he had in his own hand. A few months later, the unnamed gentleman did not cash a specific card to set the contract. When the hand was over, the same partner asked why he did not cash the setting trick. Apparently, that card was somehow obscured by another card, and the unnamed individual did not know that he had it. Aha!!! Aha!!!

gszes
p has to be crazy to be attemting 5 level save v/nv sowe assume p has a decent reason for 5c if p has sayxxxx xx Kx Axxxx i like the odds of club K with lho even if p has xxxx xx xx AKxxxthe 5h bid greatly increases the odds of a heartlead vs a deadly dia. there is no guarantee we can set 5s so 6c is sort ofa safety bid especially at imps where we should be able to limit the damage to -200 vs at least 420 for oppsand we might just make it:))))))))))) huge plus
