What do you lead if 3♦ is explained (assume accurately) as:a) Looking for a stopper for 3NTb) Preemptive (We were playing a strong club at the table, so this was possible)
Trumpace
I would probably lead a low heart in both cases.

JLOGIC
king of hearts seems greatly superior to a small heart in all cases. King of hearts vs Ace of spades in problem 1 is interesting. If you can run five spades, and they have 7 clubs and 2 red aces, the ace of spades should be better. however, if dummy has SK, 7 solid clubs, HA, and RHO has the QJ of diamonds or something, HK is going to be better. With the AJ or AQ of diamonds, partner likely would have doubled 3D, so it's pretty likely RHO's stopper contains the ace. Overall that leads me to go for the spade ace in option 1.
