That'll teach em to have clubs instead of diamonds. Honestly, all the bidding tells us that the layout is very bad for us, but truthfully I would still bid 2♠ and not think twice. Opener might might a take out with xtras value that responder will be happy to pass with a hand he woulndt double and if opener pass responder can X for 100% penalty. You have to understand that these auction reprensent twice the risk without twice the upside. Even undouble -200 is going to be bad nad -100 might not be a great score. Gerben42 Posted April 14, 2011 Report Share Posted April 14, 2011 Sorry to break the majority vote but this is not a 2♠ bid for me. If partner is on lead vs 3♣, I do not want him to lead ♠!
