If LHO seems surprised to learn that he's not playing the hand, I'll lead a spade - he may have been expecting that his spade tenace would be protected.

 

Otherwise, I think a trump is right. In this sort of auction it's quite common for declarer to have a gap in his side suit, and dummy could well be 2-2 in the red suits.

Well analyzed by Gonzalo and Andy. In this case, declarer even had three trumps but he requires two ruffs after exiting to the K. On any lead but a trump, declarer concedes a and ruffs the 4th with the beer card and you cannot overruff. 14 IMPs if you got this one right.
