Hanoi5
Red vs White, you hold: ♠Qxx♥AQTxx♦73♣Jxx 3NT* Pa 4♣ Pa4♦ Pa Pa 4♠Pa Pa 5♣ Pa5♦ ??? What does partner action over 4♦ (after having passed 4♣) mean? What would you bid now?
whereagles
Pass + 4♠ sounds like weaker than an immediate 4♠. So now I pass.
helene_t
Maybe this should show spades and clubs, as opposed to a direct 4♠ bid which would show spades only?
Free
After a gambling 3NT you can't show 2 suits. Partner only showed ♠ and a weaker hand than an immediate 4♠ call. Since I'm pretty sure 4♠ would've been defeated, I sure as hell wouldn't bid 5♠. There's not much gain in doubling either, so I guess pass stands out.
