A_Wolff
Can't you change the online BBO program in such a way that a player cannot leave a table to go to another table if the game is not yet finished? It is very annoying as a player leaves the table (because he is angry or made a blunder or so) because it takes time before a new player takes a seat and the new player has no knowledge over the played cards, so many times we have to stop an interesting game for a redeal request of the new player. A player must only be able to leave the game by closing BBO or on request of the leader of the table. Best regards, A_Wolff
TylerE
So you'd rather they stay, cuss you out, refuse to play a card, etc?
matmat
So you'd rather they stay, cuss you out, refuse to play a card, etc? Nah, I'd rather they not be allowed to join another table or tournament if they left in the middle of a hand until they hand they abandoned is finished. Some of the boundary conditions would have to be worked out, for instance, how about an hour-long time-out period in case the other players are forced to quit since noone shows up to finish the hand... Rain
There is a roundabout way to block quitters. If you use the new BBO version, then when you start your table (go to list all tables -> start table), you can select "minimum completion rate" required.Say you choose 95%. This means only players with at least 95% rate of completing boards in normal games (non tourney games) can play at your table. The catch is, you can choose minimum completion rate only up till your own rate. So if your own rate is 85%, you can request for players to have up till 85% completion. The other catch is, obviously the higher your required stat, the harder it is for players to qualify to join your table. And so you may find games slower to get off the ground. They may be of better quality...

Elianna
That was interesting. It seems that I haven't played enough recently. My completion rate was "unknown"
Bbradley62
Last I knew, you needed 10 tournaments in the past 30 days to have a completion rate. Not sure whether that's still the standard.
