DJNeill
Hi all,The upcoming Sept 9 ACBL Instant MP game includes, along with the hand records, analysis books, and diskette, a double entry score sheet. Apparently, you post the matchpoints received by each pair, and add up the lines of masterpoints and determine percentages, like the olden days. My question is, does anyone have experience with this to know why this sheet is included? Doesn't ACBLscore give a printout of all results both instant-matchpointed and locally-matchpointed? For any info on this, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks,Daniel Neill
keylime
My understanding is that the hands have been played in an international tourney and scored, hence the ability to get an "accurate score" so to speak. When that tourney was is not known to me, but I distinctly remember one of the booklets saying something to this effect.
DenisO
For any info on this, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks,Daniel Neill You could try Richard Pavlicek - there's a lotabout instant MP games on his site. In fact I think he used to produce the hands/booklets for the ACBL - maybe he still does it. McBruce
I directed the game at the Vancouver Bridge Centre. The package we got was quite clear that the double-entry sheet was only necessary if you were not using ACBLScore. It was quite a fun set, with many wild hands, including one (#26) where three of the four suits had singleton aces, including two in one hand.
