if LHO has more than 4 clubs, he is sqzed in c+h, if RHO has more than 4 clubs, then dbl sqz. Isnt it?

I don't think so... to find out that LHO has four clubs, haven't you taken the entry to the thread away from North? Play it and see, and if I'm wrong, let me know the order of your plays.

Draw trump, duck a , win the only dangerous switch in dummy, K and the rest of the trumps leading to the same position paulhar described, except now you have A to enter dummy instead of K

By jove, I think we found the smartest dog in show! :)

Well done Fluffy :) This is the endposition:

[hv=n=shjd6ca9&s=s3hdajc3]133|200|[/hv]

On the last trump, you discard J (if West discards Q your J is your 12th trick), and you play a to the Ace. Next you'll know if you can continue 9, play A or finesse in :)

You said it yourself: you need to asume trumps will be 2-2, which will be not even close to a 100% line...

Also, asume West has the s and East has the s, then you won't be able to avoid 2 losers. Both opps can easily discard their s, and there's no thread for any squeeze anymore. I think that line needs Q onside, or Q with the -length to be successfull.

I'm not a master in percentages, but I think you're around the 20%.

Actually, I thought the contstraints of the problem were such that the line had to be 100% on any distribution of the minors. I was under the impression this did not apply to major suit dist.

Agrre i was under the same impresson, that it made however the minor ar disribute not or so i assumed you sayd we would have to play on 2-2

You can say what you want, but the distributions in the Majors are dependent of the distributions in the minors... If LHO has 7 s, he just can't have more than 6 s for example.

But ok, next time I have such problem, I'll mention the "however any suit is distributed, except East has at least 1 " :P

I win trick 1, draw 4 rounds of trumps discarding low Diamond and then duck a club.

I ruff East's Heart return, or win a minor suit return in dummy (unless given a free finesse in D by West).

Ruff a Heart back to hand (if in dummy) and lead last trump discarding HJ assuming that HQ has not yet appeared. Next test the Clubs, and cash DK. Assuming that the Clubs are not yet good I have a feeling that the position in Diamonds is exposed.
