Phil
Just under a 2N opening.
Lurpoa
Playing BWS2001Defaults:QUOTE: In reopening-position, a one-notrump overcall shows 10-14 (by a passed hand, 10 to a maximum non-opening), a two-notrump overcall 18-19, regardless of the suit opened. UNQUOTE In SAYC, a balancing 1NT shows 10-15. So logically: 2NT=19-20.
aguahombre
Perhaps, in another thread sometime, the 10-point floor for a balancing 1NT will be debated. For this topic, 19-20 seems normal these days as a range for the 2NT jump balance.
Finch
I voted 19-20, but I think it's more like good 18 - 21.

I'd love to see the the logical proof for this one... I can readily accept that any of the following 1. The expected meaning of a balancing 2NT call is 19-202. 19-20 is the most useful treatment that I know for the bid I'm just not sure that this is a natural consequence of the balancing range for 1N

That could be considered a natural consequence of the previous ranges.
Free
Some strong NT hand, so I voted 19-20.
