gszes Posted February 16, 2011 Report Share Posted February 16, 2011 bid 3s do not worry about this showing extra length you already denied that when you bid 3cthe 3s bid shows good enough spades to play in a 43 spade fit and also denies heart support. There is also the important advantage of keeping 3n alive as a contract. With a (not too) much weaker spade suit you would have had little choice other than to bid 4c.
