aguahombre
Yes, and 5♣
pooltuna
Yes 2♣ is fine. Now I am torn cause I don't know the opps agreement on 1♦ opening call and Partner's call could be natural In any event the possible calls look like 3♠, 4♣, 4♦, 4♠, 5♣, and 5♦. At this point since I am in an uncertain position I make the call with the most flexibility, 3♠.
Fluffy
2♣ fine, I'd bid a pessimistic 4♣
Phil
3♦ should show a stopper, which is good news for my ♦QJTx. Furthermore, it denies a lot in spades, otherwise we'd be hearing a NT call The heart finesse(s) are probably working and we have nothing wasted in spades. xxxx AQx Ax AKxx is within range. Since I've limited myself with 2♣, I'll try 4♠ now.
Quantumcat
On the first round I would have bid 3♣ at least! Four if nicer vulnerability. I wouldn't have minded pushing them to game cause the 4-1/4-2 split in their side-suit plus 4-0/5-0 split in their trump suit would have been nice to defend with. Anyway after having bid your hand you are happy cause you can sit back and let partner do whatever he wants.
whereagles
Think 4♣ is just about par.
