Whats your bid ?

Ill pass now, though I could dble to show "desire to penalise at least one of oppos suits". This does not classify as a good hand with 5+ hearts, nor is it a hand for a NF 3h bid.

I think pass is better than dble when your desire to penalise is marginal at best. If it comes back to me at a high level I am happy to crack this (which will be for penalties now).

Agree Phil.

But have not discussed

1S <2N> P <3C>,

P <P> 3H**??

Signoff? Unless 3+fit?

Invite less than immediate invite?

Forcing? More than immediate force?

As I took the path to make opponents show before force?

Must I double to show near invite, good DT?

Or is that a unilateral double for penalties?

My agreement with my partner over michaels or unusual 2NT is a bid of the higher of their suits is a cue-raise, the lower of their suits is length in the fourth suit and invitational or better, double penalty interest, and raising partner is a normal raise (not good enough for a cue-raise).

So here I would bid 3, length in the fourth suit and invitational or better.
