Do you use that sort of technique or do you vocalize when you read? Would it be possible/profitable to read bridge books using speed reading? Mbodell Posted February 12, 2011 Report Share Posted February 12, 2011 I am a fair bit faster than average reader, but I don't speed read. I don't think speed reading would work for most bridge books, as to get the most out of many bridge books you want to stop and think about problems as if you were encountering them at the table. What really surprised me was the vocalizing thing. Who reads without hearing the words being read in his/her mind? Well, it could be worse, I've seen people moving their mouths as they read.
