mink
When a tourney has not started yet, it is easy to get an idea when it will finish, because the time until it starts and the estimated time it will take to complete are both given. If a tourney is running, however, and I am not playing in that tourney, and kibs are not allowed, I have no way to know the end time because I do not know the start time. Knowing the end time would be interesting for 2 reasons I can currently think of: 1. I would be able to register as a sub for that tourney but only if it will finish before some deadline. 2. There is a friend playing in that tourney, and I would like to play another tourney with this friend, provided the 2 tourneys do not overlap. So please consider to provide an estimated end time for running tourneys. When typing this another idea came across my mind: When registering as a sub for any tourney, there could be an optional field where the sub can specify the maximum amount of time he is planning to play. The software then could avoid invitations to tourneys that would exceed the player's deadline. And just another idea: When a player who is registered as a potential sub registers for a tourney, the starting time of this tourney minus 10 minutes should be automatically set as the players subbing deadline. Some weeks ago it happened to me that I had registered for subbing. Then I got an invitation for a tourney that was about to start and happily accepted. Immediately after that, I got an invitation to sub in some running tourney, and thinking that I did not succeed to accept the invitiation for the new tourney, I clicked OK again and found myself as a sub in some tourney. Before I could do anything about it the tourney I really intended to play had started without me. Karl
