Fourth from the set. Other table this time :).

Board 18/32. 6 imps down.

2 led to the 6-Q-A, you try the spade finesse which loses and a spade returned. If you eliminate the other suits, no-one discards anything, but if you whoever's count you believe (if either), E shows odd spades, odd hearts (present after leading) and odd diamonds while West shows odd spades, even diamonds and odd (remainder) hearts (obviously someone is lying :)).

Who will you play for the Q.

I would rather lead from xxxx than Txxx, so if east has Txxx, we have restricted choice on him having a side 4 card suit. If he doesn't have one, he is 3433, making playing east for the Q slightly more likely. He might also prefer to lead a club from 98x, so if he doesn't have this, he is also slightly more likely to have the Q. Overall it's not a lot to go on but I would play east for it.

Then again Crane's rule says west has it.

This is puzzling.

I can't believe East would underlead the 10 (dangerous !) with two perfectly safe leads in spades and diamonds xxx+. So the following might not apply to East... Anyway, as East I would certainly lead a spade/diamond with xxxx of them, hence East is 3x3z, hence East has long clubs.

I finesse against him.

Well, if East is Free he's led from A10xx of hearts, so West has to put the Queen in at trick 1(!)

My table was a bit of a non-issue staying in 3NT (1C-2C-3NT-P) making +3. This table didn't get as far in the play as it should have, declarer choosing to guess clubs early. When the finesse lost to West, he was destined to go down. Lose 13.

Since clubs is opener's suit, I don't think restricted choice applies

Restricted choice applies to the diamond and heart suits - with a choice of 4-card suits, he might have led the other one. Therefore he is less likely to have a second 4-card suit, so he's more likely to have three clubs.
