rogerclee
Doubling with this hand is terrible to me.
Fluffy
glups, this is a clear double for a point counter like me
gwnn
yes, bare minimum.
gnasher
Yes, it looks like a normal minimum. I'd rather double with this than with a 3433 14-count.
kenrexford
No for me. That said, I'd very willingly overcall 1NT with this hand as a light takeout, Baron treatment. (Or, "RUNT.")

kenberg
"Double now and duck later" describes my view exactly. I certainly would not describe passing as wussy. But yeah, I'll double.
gwnn
by the way, double is not a bid
han
I choose a double now, but agree it is a bare minimum and I might pass next time. Don't understand gnasher's view.
pooltuna
glups, this is a clear double for a point counter like me Ditto and I can pass the rest of most auctions
jh51
At IMPS, the double may be quite reckless. When partner bids 2♥ with 4 little hars and the contract goes -800, partner and teammates are not going to be happy about your double. awm
This hand has too many flaws for me to double, especially at IMP scoring. It's closer at MP, but at vulnerable I would still pass. Having only three hearts is a big negative when doubling a spade opening, and I would like some extra values and/or shape to compensate. Finch
Double's not just aggressive, I think it's insanely aggressive There was a hand in the Crockford's final last year (English teams championship, final = last 8 teams) where a similar, but slightly better, hand than this doubled many times and went for a penalty varying from 800 to 1400 against a NV game. One hand proves nothing, but virtually everyone present except those who doubled was saying that double was 'silly', 'over-aggressive' etc; not 'unlucky' (I was keeping quiet because my husband found a double and our match was flat in 1400) p.s. I was astonished to see that gnasher doubled on the hand in this thread
Siegmund
I double but that probably is just further evidence of what happens when you turn a matchpoint fan loose in an imp game. It is definitely a minimum if not subminimum.
Phil
I don't think poll options 3 and 4 are mutually exclusive. I would choose them both, because I AM a wuss, and I think doubling isn't aggressive, its foolish.
bluecalm
I think double is very aggressive action and I think most good players would not double.I still double because I think my bridge hero would :-) (Meck)
