rduran1216
I will post the second half of this problem once we reach a consensus on the first decision. [hv=pc=n&e=saqjh4dkq962ct753&d=s&v=0&b=11&a=1cdp]133|200[/hv] What now?

l milne
11000 posts? 1♦?? I think it's close between 3♦ and 2♣ FWIW.
mich-b
I would consider my hand worth a GF , and start with 2♣ hoping to sort out later which game is better : 5♦, 3NT , or even 4♠.
JLOGIC
2C, we might get overboard but 2D is just too wimpy imo. Even if partner has a 4423 12 count or 4432 11 count we know where all the high cards are and have a source of tricks and might make a game on a good day, and he doesn't always have the worst possible hand! I think 2D will miss more good games than bad games it will get to, and there is the ole game bonus.
Fluffy
I'd bid 2♣, but certainly 3♦ is reasonable
akhare
I will post the second half of this problem once we reach a consensus on the first decision. [hv=pc=n&e=saqjh4dkq962ct753&d=s&v=0&b=11&a=1cdp]133|200[/hv] What now? Unless pard has a chronic history of feather light TOXs, this looks like a GF to me, so 2♣... the hog
2C for me also. This is a nice hand.
whereagles
These days people dbl on aceless 10-counts (pun intended lol), so 3♦ is just about right :)
dake50
I bid 2C->D, then 2S over 2H is just about right: 2 noises Diamond suit and some Spade stuff, no likey Hearts.
mcphee
Wow, what the hell happened to the H suit, I know someone has em. Question is, do we have a GF, and I think we do so would bid 2C. I Do not really see the problem.
mfa1010
2♣ Wow, what the hell happened to the H suit, I know someone has em.Hearts are usually just 4441 or RHO is weak with 5+. Partner is still a big underdog to be strong with hearts but it could happen.

I Do not really see the problem. agree and IMO anything other than 2♣ is LOL but then I don't X with a 4441 ten count either.
rduran1216
ok, so over 2C it will continue with this spot [hv=pc=n&e=saqjh4dkq962ct753&d=s&v=n&b=15&a=1cdp2c3c4hp]133|200[/hv] vulnerability fixed, if this changes ur original 2C bid,....well i dont see how it could. Fluffy
If partner has a low singleton club, he must have ♠K, ♦A, ♥AKQ and one or 2 of the red jacks. I'd bid 6♦ now EDIT: there is an overruff problem at trick 2 on any strain, it is very hard to know what to do, maybe just bidding 5♦ is better
tolvyrj
Ok i miss the first train in question, but i still try 2 answer the first round question. Tricky hand and i guess there r just bad choices and worse ones. 1D ok that is worst (ok pass is even worse), 2D is wimpy i agree, but it gives prd more room to bid his majors after 3D prd bids 3H and then what, 4C?. If we bid 3S over 3H prd raises us 2 moysian 4S with 3 card support, 3Nt is out of the question and 4C is only marginaly better. 2C creates GF situation and after auction 1C - Dbl- P we r far away from there. And back 2 the actual situation we bid 2C, LHO 3C and prd gave us just what we were asking 4H. What do i do now? Diamonds at any possible level r lottery, my prd has not promised any of them, ok he has diamonds but maybe just 2 of them, spades r also out of the question if pard has both majors he would have bid 4C. I pass and hope for the best, i havent lie a lot with my 2C bid, prd dont have many clubs and i have high cards in his side suits; my trump support aint good but he jumped single handly in 4H so he must have enough of them in case i have only doubleton. Of course in real world he guessed my 2C as forcing and asking for better major, in case i own my kidney to him.
MrAce
I will also reply to the first question. 2♣, of course. Even when i am % 100 sure pd doubled with 10 hcp and 4441. 10 hcp and no ace ? Fine, i will pay off. Unless of course i am in "sissy contest" instead of team match.
gnasher
This is a new auction for me, but presumably partner has a strong one-suiter with self-supporting hearts. That might or might not include a singleton club, but if he has two clubs there's a good chance that my RHO is void. A club void on the right will also be helpful if it turns out that RHO has a trump trick. Hence I bid Keycard and then slam in hearts, so as to keep the potential club void on lead. MrAce
There are multiple things that doesnt add up for me in this bidding when i hear 4♥ from pd... -What did 1♣ opener open with besides AKQJxx(x) ♣? If he has ♠ K we are in danger on ♠ lead unless pd has solid 7♥+ ♦ suit gives us more than just 3 tricks. -If opener has ♦A, why did pd start with double ? -Why is 1♣ opener still bidding in red vs white with only 7 tricks and nothing else, if thats only what he has ? -Is pd jumping to 4♥ due to our cue or trying to show very strong hand, solid or semi solid ♥ ? If strong with solid ♥ suit, why didnt he go slam himself ? Can he have semi solid 8♥ and ♦ A only ? I am totally confused, maybe i cant think atm, it is 3 am and tired.
whereagles
uh-oh... that 4♥ bid is very strange. In theory, it should be a strong 1-suiter, but could it be that pard took 2♣ as asking for a major or something like that? Well, I'll just pull to 4♠ now. If pard is strong he'll take it as a cue. If he has like 44 majors he'll pass and maybe this has a play for. (Fortunately I bid 3♦ before, so I might not be facing this situation lol.)
