OleBerg
Disclaimer: Back in my usual acehole mode: I am amazed anybody would play 1♠ as non-forcing??? Anyway, on all continuations I bid 6♠. No way I explore for 7 here, with such ambigious agreements. (Yes, I love the word ambigious. Have loved it ever since somebody told me how to spell it.) nige1
♠ AKJxxx ♥ Ax ♦ x ♣ AQxxLHO opens 1D partner overcalls 1H and it gets passed to you.So you bid 2D (what else?) LHO passes, then partner bids 3H, now what?If you bid 2S originally over 1H, partner will bid 3S, now what? Slight snag, 1S isn't forcing for your partnership in this problem, and 2S meaning is undiscussed, and ur partner is 85 and has already made a negative dbl with a 6 count 4243 after 1H 2C x...so this problem gets uglier IMO Over 1♥, 2♠ = 10, 2♦ = 6.Now 6♠ = 10, 4♣ = 8, 4N = 7. OleBerg
Maybe these people aren't anybody:Lauria-VersaceMeckstroth-RodwellBerkowitz-Cohen Who? :P But thruthfully I haven't given it any real thougth. Guess I'm indoctrinated with the cuebid guaranteing support, and seeing little use for a NF 1♠ bid.
whereagles
After I know pard has 6 hearts, just check for keys and bid slam.
tolvyrj
After 3H bid over 2D cue solves one problem, H will be trumps. How old u said he is 85?; ok that solves another problem, im not going to ask aces or controls or anything for that matter. Hmmmmm..... 6H comes into my mind, ill bid that. Oh it went 3 down dbled, i will buy another drink for me and my partner and that will solve that problem, this is a simple game for simple people.
