JoAnneM
I signed up to play an ACBL Robot game tonight and got a message I have never seen before. It said we would be playing SAYC - I thought GIB played 2/1, and it said the bids and plays would be limited to 60 seconds or I would be replaced. When did this start? I finished the game in about 30 minutes and a few players were just starting board 6. So, does that rule apply to everyone or what? And is it even legal in ACBL? Thanks, Jo Anne
uday
Hi J Those messages are emitted when you play an an 'Express' Tournament. You're not supposed to see them when you play a normal ACBL Robot T. We'll take a look, in case it is a glitch on our end. Express Ts are all-human indys where robots are used for subs & sitouts. I don't think these would be a problem w/Memphis, but these are presently only used in non-ACBL games. They tend to use the word 'Express' in the title. edit: You will see those msgs if you are inside an Express T when it starts, regardless of whether you are registered as a player. Most likely that is what happened. Uday

JoAnneM
Before the ACBL game I clicked on an express game, but did not register. I then registered for the ACBL game. Thanks
barmar
But if you were lurking in the lobby of the Express game when the ACBL game started, you got the Express message, as Uday pointed out at the end of his response.
JoAnneM
Uday answered my question, I was just verifying for him that I had entered an Express lobby. Thanks
