OleBerg
If 4NT on 3♦ would have been quantitative, North gets 100%. If not, the blame is split in the same fractions that NS are responsible for this.
kgr
If 4NT on 3♦ would have been quantitative, North gets 100%.I think that 4NT should be quantitative, but I think that at the table we would be both unsure if it is RKC or Quantitative. Fluffy
north has 12 cards
andy_h
North should bid a quantitative 4NT over 3D. If however you were unsure whether 4NT was quantitative or RKC then I think North should bid either bid 3NT or 4D depending on your style of opening at 1st NV. On 2nd thoughts I think North should just set diamonds with 4D because there are lots of minimum hands which make slam decent with a few chances. Say Kx xx KQxxxx Kxx and that requires diamonds 3-2 and the DA not with the 2H bidder, or maybe Kxx x AKxxxx Jxx and it also requires diamonds 3-2 with possible simple/double squeeze available. These were just minimum hands - with some average ones say Kxx x AQ10xxx Kxx or KQx xx AK10xxx Jx then they start to become even better slams. Seems like I'm talking myself into just bidding keycard! TWO4BRIDGE
1D - ( 2H ) - DBL - ( p )3D - ( p ) - 3H! - ( p )3NT - ( p ) - 6NT Responder's "only forcing bid after a Neg-DBL is a cue bid " ... He really wasn't expecting a 3NT call by partner, since it should show the ♥K.Then what the heck was that weak 2H overcall with NOT one of the top 4 honors -- "an overcall on the smell of an oily rag ".Even if partner's Diam aren't solid, hopefully they are headed by the AK10.... or AQ10 etc... and hopefully you can pick up the suit. TWO4BRIDGE
Don where is your 12th trick? I can count only 11. 6d, 4h, 2 black Aces =
Fluffy
yeah yeah I know you want to make 6♦ the problem is, how do you know that partner has 6 diamonds when you bid 6NT
gwnn
why does 6d go down?

Phil
Very unlucky 6♦ goes down but I doubt West is preempting on 10-6th either. 6N is money, and North gets all the blame for 3N.
MrAce
% 100 North. Add a ♦J or a 7th ♦ to south, i would bid 3 NT from south over dbl.
kgr
Thanks all for the answers.3NT+4 scored 66.7% (This is not a very strong field):3x 3N+4 1x 6N=2x 3N+21x 6D-1 (West didn't bid her Hearts and did lead Heart for a ruff by East)
han
3NT was atrocious. You have 19 HCP. NINETEEN!! And a good nineteen too, is that not enough to make a slam try these days? Idiotic. The question about what to rebid with the south hand is also ridiculous, this is the advanced/expert forum.

That will probably change your view completely.
Free
I blame north 100%, with or without ♠J.
