This auction went off the rails in several places.

2N was GF not necessarily balanced

4 was keycard in

5 showed Q or extra length and K

I thought about bidding 6 at the end in case partner had the Q too, but didn't fancy him bidding 7 rather than 7 with AKQxxx/AKQx.

Anyway, all ended well as a heart was led to the K and A, so I didn't need the clubs (which predictably as I didn't need them were Qx/10xx) when the diamonds were 3-2.

The second hand I post purely to give anybody reading this a good laugh rather than to attract a lot of comment.

Partner clearly checked his brain in elsewhere with the 2N response, I decided to bid 3 rather than 3N as by the end of a very long weekend, I couldn't remember what we played over 2-2N-3N, partner opted to raise this with Kx, not my choice.

Anyway, LHO decided to cash the A at trick 1 and the spades split, so this was +1430.
