mr1303
AQxKQxxxKxxxx Bidding proceeds 1S 2D3NT 4C4NT Partner has shown 18-19, 5 spades and presumably wasn't excited by your 4C bid. Yes, I know this isn't a good way to show 18-19 balanced. Your call?
TWO4BRIDGE
If you are playing 2/1 GF, then 1x-2y, 2NT = 12-14 or 18,19 and Opener will go past 3NT with the 18,19; and 1x 2y, 3NT = 15-17 picture bid.
mtvesuvius
I'm having trouble finding hands where partner isn't excited about a 4♣ bid, and slam is not making (or is not odds on). Seems a 5323 or 6322 type is most likely. I bid 5N pick a slam just in case. Can't see passing here, although I guess it could work.
Zelandakh
I think 5NT implies something like Hx in spades. I much prefer 6C to 5NT. It is easy to construct hands where slam does not make - any 2 aces works. :)
gszeszycki
lack of system makes this response a bit speculative---if playing 2/1 p 3n shows 15 17 and the 4n rebid is minimum in context (say no better than a poor 16)even if you are sure it shows 18-19 because of your system your p 4n should still be trying to convey a message that they are at the bottom for their previous bidding. It is important to note that not only is partner trying to convey minimum but most likely a hand that has far less in the way of controls than might be expected. It is up to you to decide how to proceed. Use the information wisely.

P_Marlowe
6C. I wont stop below the 6 level, so 5C is out, and I did not yet show5-5 in the minors, so 6C, asking p to pick who will declare what. With kind regardsMarlowe
han
Close between pass and 6C, I think I'd pass because of the bad suit quality. I would assume that 3NT really shows an honest (5332) shape. If so, I don't think that there is anything wrong with it. Will all those people writing that 3NT shows 15-17 in 2/1 stop it, the OP knows better what he plays than you.
Free
Pretty much the only hand which isn't be excited after the 4♣ bid is one with only 1 Ace. I'll pass.
mgoetze
IMO 6♣ = 10, 5N (Pick a slam) = 9, 4♥ (Forcing noise) = 8, 5♣ = 7, 6N = 6, _P = 5. 5♥ (noise) = 2, 4♥ (insufficient bid) = -10 maybe.
Fluffy
partner doesn't like any minor, so he's got something like ♦Ax ♣Jxx and we have slow loser somewhere in the minors. If I trust enough my partner he probably has ♠KQ, and very likelly KQJ, it wouldn't surprise me that the only makeable slam is 6♠, but how to investigate it? I don't have the tools for it, except maybe that 5NT pick a slam thing living with partner's decision, but today I am just pessimistic and pass 4NT. EDIT: A heart lead removes our entry, so 6♠ won't be good even opposite ♠KQJxx ♥AKx ♦Ax ♣Jxx you might just as well try 6NT then.
