dake50
Easy for me. I play DAPO*. I have 2-suits takeout: bid the suit not held. Here 2H shows S+C. Next 2NT/3NT to show D-stop. Double would be 3-suiter takeout OR 1-suiter to show next.2S: H+C. 3C: S+H. Jump: 1-suiter shown. Without DAPO, I try 2S. Hope that denies H-interest. 3NT over 3H. RMB1
West opens Weak 2♦ .. passed around to South. Are you bidding, and if so, what?I ask East if they have any partnership understanding/experience about playing multi 2♦ or transfer pre-empts :) 2NT, and hope opener won't lead ♥.
P_Marlowe
You have to bid. It is either 2S or 2NT, take your poison. With kind regardsMarlowe
TWO4BRIDGE
I've always thought that Roman Jumps are best used over a Weak-2D ... rather than any Lebensohl. Roman ( big-2 suiter ) Jumps over weak-2D: 4C = C/H = bid suit and next higher 3H = H/S 3S = S/C 4D = 4 4 1 4 3D = stop-ask ( for 3NT )4H/4S = to play Just guessing what the DBL would mean:DBL! = T/O ( weaker than 4D! ) OR long suit somewhere ( like Dake's DAPO, but I don't know the follow-ups )
mtvesuvius
Barring that I am playing some ridiculous exclusion takeout that won't ever work when I have a single suit, except on this particular hand... It seems like a 2♠ bid leaves us with the best chance of doing well on this board. The problem is that when I am having problems in 3N with heart stoppers, I may have the same problem in 4♠, especially if it's a 4-3 fit. I'm willing to take that chance though, it seems like bidding 2N is just advertising my diamond holding, and LHO will be leading hearts very often. I would bid 2♠. Fluffy
I tihnk it is pass or 2NT, pass has some appeal. 2♠ might work of course, but given that we have to lie about shape anyway that has the risk on playing in a short fit, why not make the bid that at least defines our strenght accuratelly. 655321
2NT, I like this a lot more than any of the suggested alternatives.
