uday
TDs have always been able to restrict registrations to players whose profile-country matched that of the TD. This was flawed bec. people could simply change their profile-country and waltz in. We tweaked this last week. As of now, a tournament that uses this filter will restrict entry to people whose IP address resolves to the country that the host appears to be connecting from. This isn't 100% accurate but it rates to be a lot more accurate than the older check.
matmat
and restrictive of nationals of the countries that the tournament is restricted to who happen to be traveling or living abroad. is there a way for the TD to allow exceptions? (ps, i know there is no perfect solution, so just wondering, mostly)
uday
TD is free to also (say) INCLUDE friends, or a list of names.
MTSummit
so this is the answer why my tourney can not include Chinese memebers only. (I'm a Chinese living in Germany, who create regularly tourney for Chinese players) is there any other option to allow exceptions (besides friends or local list)? thanks!
