What about if you have the ♦9 instead of the 2? Fluffy
I though I was vert agressive with 6 card minors when RHO opens but I might have reconsider it.
gwnn
just a second I'll answer this but first I have to go vomit a little. this could be the first ever double unanimous poll in the history of BBF!!
mrt2000
To answer the original question, yes you do have "enough" to bid, but you most certainly should not do so. You should not bid because if you do you are effectively ensuring that your side will never be able to locate a ♥contract as your p will NEVER expect a four card side suit when you pre-empt. There is another good reason for not bidding on this hand. Given the auction to date, it's likely that the hand "belongs" to the opposition. If that is the case, any pre-emption by you will simply make the play of the hand easier for the oppo's. :)

Cascade
I virtually never bid a weak three with a six-card suit vulnerable against not. After the opponent's have already exchanged some valuable information with an opening bid I think your preempts should be sounder not more wild. At this vulnerability the hand almost never belongs to your side so often you just give the opponents information that is likely to help them in the play. For me the four-card major is almost a non-issue. Don't preempt with a side major is last century's advice. I don't think it is sound. A side major is a minor factor that might sway you on a marginal hand but not sound general advice. This hand is not marginal.
mtvesuvius
I thought this was pretty clear as well, but this is related to another hand... We'll go there later :D
P_Marlowe
I will pass in both scenarios, the given colors are the only colors I respect. For that matter, the bidding is not yet over, I may get another chance to enter. Entering would be safer, if we can play also in hearts, bidding diamonds now, burries the hearts, partner wont think that hearts plays better. With kind regardsMarlowe

phil_20686
I saw it was a unanimous poll, so obviously I had to vote for bid....
