gnasher
There wasn't much that I found amusing about the Mixed Pairs in Philadelphia, but this was quite funny: Against 3NT played by my screenmate, I had ♠K65 over declarer's AQx. Thinking that I might be in trouble in the ending, I rather unsubtly threw the 6 then the 5, playing upside-down attitude. Now declarer asked me "When you throw the 2 and the 5 of spades, is that encouraging?" That left me slightly awkwardly placed. I couldn't think of anything better to say than "I'm not going to tell you what I had played, but low-high would be encouraging and high-low would be discouraging." A trick or two later, my partner threw ♠2, but unfortunately I was the only one paying attention. In due course declarer played a spade to her ace.
