i really hate this prob: you dont give opps bidding agreements, you dont give my hand. It all doesnt make sense: no 2Nt by prtn na dia support by opps no 3ha by opps: prtn weak with a lot of spades and soem vlubs is he an idiot?? it all doesnt count up only 6 very good 6sp and 4c and opps playing 2 d nf make sense to me

2D wasn't gf, nor was 3D. Hand was played in a casual setting, so opps didn't have much sophistication to their bidding, nor did we.

Then maybe partner does have good hand and shape. In any case, X is not penalty, and it should imply secondary club suit (and at least 6 spades).

Do you have different bidding agreements depending on what your partner holds? My hand doesn't matter because partner doesn't know what I hold when he Doubles! The bidding agreements would be nice, but unless specified we consider sayc.

For me this Dbl is takeout oriented, so it shows extra's.

Bid a suit then double, this always shows the same, a ton of playing strenght. On this bidding it is of the semi-balanced type because he also has 3 for the more shapy strenght. A 6322 with 18 scattered HCP (about the half on red cards) its the book bid.
